Monica Jacqueline - Owner, Writer, & Career Coach
After receiving her bachelor's and master’s degrees in Communications at Chico State University, Monica started her career in the high-tech industry as a Wireless Analyst in Silicon Valley during the mid-1990s. Within a few years, she moved on to working with telecom manufacturers writing the brochures and websites for multi-million dollar equipment sold to tier 1 carriers.
In the process of writing high-tech salesware, Monica became an expert at knowing the needs of the reader, which were typically high-level executives. She was able to transform complex product specifications into captivating documents that sold products without getting buried in the minutia that was more appropriate for engineers.
As the economy declined, she began writing resumes for friends and colleagues changing jobs and developed a unique format that continued to get positive results. As news of her process and successful format spread, the demand for her services became so great in 2004 that she left the corporate world to begin her journey as a resume writer.
Since then, her referral-only business has grown steadily and she has never once advertised her services, neither paid or unpaid. Her passion for helping others get their dream jobs is unwavering, and she is currently working on a book to help teach others how to write their own resume leveraging her style and introspective approach.
She currently lives, works and often speaks at conferences and workshops in San Francisco. However, all of her work is done by conference call, and she has helped clients all over the world at various stages in their career, from college grads to C-Level executives, get their dream jobs.
